NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL YOUTH PASTOR
WEIGHT OF GLORY
It is with great zest that i welcome the youths of this great Mission to another new year. Our amiable General Overseer has christened this year as our year of Enlargement, Whao! This is great! Every new year is like opening a page or chapter of any book that is being read. A new page or chapter definitely contains new contents that would bring new revelations and truth. This new year is a new page in your life that contains new revelations and truth.
In this New Year, God gave me a REVELATION that the year would bring WEIGHT of GLORY to all the youths of this Mission. This revelation is in tandem with our faith Declaration. This is because our ENLARGEMENT will usher in WEIGHT OF GLORY into our lives.
Let me take you to the text of the Bible.
“For our light affliction which is for a moment, worketh for us a far move exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (1 con 4:17 KJV).
Many youths have experienced disappointments, failures, spiritual logjam, heartaches, tears, sorrows, unfulfilled promises and the likes in the past years. But in this year, all the negative of the past year would bring weight of glory that would make you burst into spontaneouse songs and laughter. What God is saying is that for every youth that has experienced one negative thing or the other, God will replace such ugly scene or situation with weight of glory. In every programme held at National, Regional or District, there shall be manifestation of weight of glory.
What is weight of glory? There are two key words in what God said He would do in our lives. Number one is weight. The word weight is defined by the Dictionary as something that is heavy: Glory is defined as fame, praise or honour that is given to somebody. The second definition is praise and worship of God. Another definition is great beauty. The last definition is a special cause for pride, respect or pleasure. All these definitions have direct bearings to what God intend to do in the youth Ministry. The combination of the two words (weight & glory) shows that we would experience HEAVY MOVE OF GOD that would exhibit GLORY. This means we would have HEAVY GLORY in this year in Jesus name.
Let us see how each definition will work for us.
The first definition says glory is fame, praise and honour.
In the New Year text message to me by the Deputy General Overseer, Pastor (Prof) S.O Ewuola, he said the new year is
- Year of success projection for me
- The year in which the Lord would undertake for me
- The year in which the lord would lead me gently to fame.
If we consider the third, we see fame in his message to me. This shows this year will bring fame or glory to us in the youth ministry. When a leader of an organization carries fame, the organization becomes direct beneficiary of it. This New Year massage to me by our father has relevance in what the Lord told Joshua.....
