The Wind of Pentecost
–Evangelist Moses Akinyetun.
On the evening of Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the GOFAMINT National Youth Conference (NAYOCO), the presence of the Lord was powerfully felt as He imparted upon the lives of the participants. Evangelist Moses Akinyetun, the National Youth Pastor spoke on the Wind of Pentecost where he exposed the minds of the youths to the importance of receiving the Holy Spirit just as the disciples received Him at the upper room on the day of Pentecost.
He posited on the result of the impartation of the Holy Spirit on the disciples which are: Enthronement, Empowerment, Enrollment, Engagement, Evangelism, Expansion, Enthusiasm, Enforcement and Encouragement. In his expository message, he said that the Holy Spirit is the one who ensures a repeat of the Pentecost experience for those who desire it. According to the message, the impartation of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost fulfils the purpose of Jesus in enthroning us as kings. In his words, “it was on the day of Pentecost that the disciples became men of authority.”
It was his earnest desire that all youths be filled with the Holy Spirit so that they can be empowered to do the work of evangelism just as the early church was empowered. He further stressed that having the Holy Spirit will ensure discipline in the church of God which will help youths fulfil God’s mandate upon their lives.
